Pastry Chef for Hire
Love it but could you share how you got the photos to stay?
First I cut the pictures I want to use and the laminate them so the buttercream don't grease them up. I trim the excess laminate. The pics that are sticking out of cake have a wooden skewer taped to the back. The cake should be set up or icing firm before placing pictures on side of. I pipe buttercream along the back surface of picture, leaving about 1/4 inch space around outside edge You don't want to pipe icing to the outside of pic because when you apply and press pic onto cake, buttercream could come out under picture. Make sure cake is chilled before placing. The piped icing on back of picture will set up quickly when placed on cold cake.
